Equipment required Pre-Production
Equipment Required
In my music magazine i will be using a variety of different equipment to achieve my final product which is to create a music magazine.
High Defination Camera- This will give me high quality photographs which will be necessary for my music magazine. The camera will also become more brighter and more effective, as it displays more realism from the crystal clear enhancement from camera.
Tripod- The tripod will make it easier to get a straight image and when taking a image i will be able to get into position. This will also help me move thecamera more freely and take photographs from multiple types of angles and different heights
Photograph Software- This will help me design my overall pictures and fonts etc. This is a main part of production my music magazine.

Models Pre-Production
Model's
In my
magazine images I will need models to pose for me. The model's will be people that are musician and who are use to playing instruments. An example would be that on my front cover image i will be the model, posing with my cello. I will be either sat playing my cello or standing with my cello that will be resting beside me. The reason why I'm using myself as a model is because nobody plays the cello and i want my picture to look professional and the model posing will feel comfortably. The background of my image will be plain white. I don't want anything looking busy behind my models. This will be the same has my double page spread, I'll be the model on my double page spread too so one of my peers will have to take my image for me. However on my content page it won't be me posing. It will be a group of friends who play in the same orchestra has me and i will take a photo of them playing there instruments together. They will be a variety of people sitting down and standing up. The instruments used will be flutes, violin, trumpet and much more. The background will be plain again just like the other images i will have in my magazine. The main reason why i have chosen to have a plain background is because i want my images to look original and classy because the target audience is for adults around 40+. I will ask my friends permission before taking any photo's of them. On my front cover the pose that i want to achieve is this one. The main reason why i want to do this pose is because you can see the whole of the cello without masking any part of it. The stance that the women is doing is professional and classy.

Musician
of the month
It’s hard to think of a
musician of the month that has captivated the listeners/audiences. Somebody who
influences people with there playing. We think back to J.S Bach, Beethoven and
Tchaikovsky and how they influenced a generation of musician whether it’s
composing, conducting or performing, they achieved that skill. Even when they
died they still in this present day influence people and make them there role
models/idol. In this present day there is a J.S Bach in the making and this
person is Lola Nicholson This 16 year old from a little town in Doncaster
is hitting the world by storm with her passion and love of the classical music.
The cellist, Pianist and Singer is already in talks with joining the world
class London Symphony Orchestra and is ready to record her first ever studio
album. Her with her first ever interview her is Lola Nicholson;
Hello Lola how are you?
I'm good thank you and yourself?
I'm good aswell thank you for asking
So what made you become a classical musician?
I
became a classical musician because I love the sound that classical music
produces. It makes me feel relaxed and it is a genre of music that anyone can
listen to and I feel in this present day more and more young people are getting
involved with classical music which is a great thing with all of the bad news
that comes in everyday about murders and crime. It grabs the younger generation
off the street and get’s them involved with something they’ll love. I must have been about 1 or 2 years old when I first started listening to classical music. My great-Grandma use to play the piano and I use to watch her play. She is a remarkable woman. She would play Beethoven on her vinyl and I would be captivated and mesmerised. When I was 5 she gave me words of wisdom that I would be a successful pianist because of my long fingers.
Well I must have been about 6-7 years old. I was fairly young when I started. I was so interested in the instrument I wanted to try it out and now I am a professional cellist playing in an orchestra and producing a studio album.
What motivated me was thinking and knowing that one day with all the hard work I’ve put in I will become successful and will achieve my dreams. Also the criticism I got through my childhood made me more determined, to prove those people that said I would never be a successful musician. The criticism hurt me through my childhood and teenage years but those criticisms have made me be a stronger person.
Well I was out on the streets playing my cello for money. I did this every Saturday and Sunday when I was approached by a middle aged man saying I could have an audition to play in London Symphony Orchestra. I was so honoured to have been asked. So I went and auditioned and I played one of the most famous cello pieces J.S Bach six suites movement 1. I knew at that point I meant the target of grade 8. So I played my heart out and got a play. I was amazed that I got through. Nothing good ever goes right for me and still to this day I play in London Symphony Orchestra. I wouldn’t want to change anything.
I was playing a concert that London Symphony prepared that they play every year and I got nominated to play the main solo in both pieces which was flight of the bumblebee and allegro passionate. I never knew someone from a record label was sitting in the audience watching me. After the end of the concert a man and a women came up to me and spoke to me about a record deal I could have. I didn’t hesitate and quickly said yes and know it’s about to go in the album chart.
My
studio album is a mixture of my favourite pieces and some piece’s I’ve created.
I wanted a mixture of both because listeners will know some of the piece where
as I can get my music I’ve created to the world. It took me around 6-12 months
to record my album. This is because I wanted my album to be perfect and the way
I wanted it to be. The name of my album is called Dreams. The reason why I
called it dreams is because I feel like I’m living a dream and everything is
like a blur and a dream that I don’t want to end. The main message behind the
music and album is to follow your dreams no matter who or what is in your way.
I feel positive about my album. Nobody has ever made an album like what I’ve made. It was hard work trying to find the right songs to go into the album but it was fun and an experience I will never forgot. I am grateful to everybody that has helped me be who I am today and where I am. My family and friends have also been a main influence in my album.
I’m going to carry on playing in London Symphony Orchestra. I’m still going to compose and create more music and who knows maybe there’ll be another album on the way. But the main goal I want to do now is to do a duet with Julian Lloyd Webber that would be amazing.

Proposal Pre-Production
Proposal;
For our media production i will be producing a music magazine that will make people want to read about music. My music magazine will be based around the classical music genre. The target audience for my music magazine is adults, conductors and classical musicians. I have to produce a front cover, double page spread and a content page. I have to think of my own idea's and make my magazine original and different from any other music magazine out there. I want my music magazine to be classy, professional and mature.
On my front cover there will be a main feature article photo of me or a friend playing or posing with a cello. Me or a friend will be behind a white background. There head will be facing the camera and smiling to promote the magazine. The shot will be a long shot so the audience can see the cello and the player. The mast head will be called 'Cresendo'. There will be some puffs and plugs so that the front cover doesn't look boring. Finally the company name and logo will be at the bottom of my front cover. The colour scheme will be mature for the older generation. For example navy, brown and dark red.
My double page spread will be an interview style with the cello player. There will be another large image of the cello player and some small ones to break the writing up. The writing will be in standard/proper English. The size will be a small font and the colour will be white.
The content page will have another image of a new orchestra that is swiping the nation. Also there will be columns of all the different articles that are in the magazine. There will be different font colours and diffretn size fonts.
The equipment that i will be using to create my music magazine is;
- A camera so i can take the photo's i need for my music magazine
- A PC or a Mac computer to edit the pictures and look at the final product of my music magazine
- A editting program (Photoshop) to edit my music magazine
The budget of my music magazine will be £5000
